On '00-'03 it is roughly 6000-6200 RPM at stock, to make it really smooth and gain power, you don't want to lower it much. If you do lower it to 5500, it is a very big difference in feel. You will no longer feel the VTEC 'kick', which disappoints some, but you will have a smooth transition and gain power in that range. I gained almost 10WHP with my V-AFC II.
thanks s2k1, did you have to keep tuning and retuning yours, bc i heard it is just not "plug and play"
also, if i decide to not use the vafc anymore, will the vtec go back to normal(stock), like back to 6000?
will the car be normal again? (like i never installed the vafc II ever).
thanks

I only had mine on for about two weeks and drove the car a total of 200 or so miles with the V-AFC. After that I took the V-AFC out(which returned it back to normal) and I went turbo with a Greddy E-manage.
