Exclamation 05 s2000 radio not working. CUT WIRES!!! Help

Hey so I have a 05 s2000 and I recently bought the s2k but didn't bother to check that if the radio worked. So I thought I would check and it wasn't at all. The last owner is unkown and I have to find out myself. There are cut wires from radio and everything works except the sound. There are cut wires and things hanging out from the radio. What is this and where do these wires connect!???

If it's an OEM radio it still won't work unless you get the radio code

It's a oem radio with the code in the owners book. Radio code works

Sorry I missed that part where you said "...everything works but the sound"
Reading is fundamental

My guess is PO had an aftermarket stereo. Upom sale or trade in whatever just jammed stock radio back in.

He probably had a plug in harness for the stock harness, but cut out a couple of the wires to rig in key on/off signal for amp, that sort of thing. But he should have just left the matching wire from the harness intact, so you could reconnect wires by their color code.

I would look for stereo install diy's, and see if there are photos that happen to have enough detail where you can figure where your cut wires are supposed to go.

Go to an aftermarket stereo shop and buy and aftermarket head unit with a s2000 harness. Connect the new headunit to the harness and all you have to do is plug and play to the OEM plug.

IF you don't want to do that.... well look up wiring diagrams and have fun!

Is there any harness ones that I can get like the owner had before? What stereo can I put in it?
