15" sub
As already mentioned you really need to give some thought to your amp mounting as well when you plan this. If you're looking for that much bass you'll be running at least 2 amps. Add in a couple crossovers, distribution box, etc and the spare tire compartment fills up fast. Plus you'll want to be able to get to your amps so you can adjust the gains, etc. Also, don't forget to plan for the trunk locking mechansism. If you box extends above the deck, it's easy to overlook something like that.
Well just reading this again... assuming you use the 2-12's then you can make the box a little smaller than the specs. You can make the box smaller and then you can put some poly fill in the box to compensate for the box being smaller.
As it turns out you need to decide what you plan on doing with the trunk. If your going to glass the whole trunk you can have a really nice setup... however if you want to use your trunk afterwards... well you not going to have the loudness your looking for.
This infomation people have suggested is great but completely useless until you decide your goals for your setup... and if you want to use your trunk afterwards.

The 121T can be a sealed enclosure, but it is not very accurate that way. I used that sub (2 of them) in my Blazer and we ran a 3.5cuft box with 2 4"x7" ports with an audiobahn 12001d amp and it hit really hard.
The first box we tried was a sealed enclosure and was no where near as accurate.

no doubt the ported enclosure hit harder....they almost always do. Sealed enclosures add a more "punchy" bass. Ported enclosures are generally more "boomy" sounding. Ported enclosures are also much louder. Depends on what he is looking to get out of the sub.
