Can anyone confirm if wires need to be cut on this?

I understand that for the led lights and the brake light you just grind the plug down on the ap1 harness and it goes straight in no messing with the wires.

For the reverse light, that plug also fits straight in.

For the turn signal, is where I'm confused? What plug on the existing ap1 harness do you have to use to get the turn signal to work.

The first page is confusing as it states use the brown plug but then pictured another plug detailing it as the same.

To simplify my question, for the turn signal, do you just grind down the tabs on the existing ap1 turn signal plug then it fits in and you do the bulb mod. Or do you have to remove the wires out the existing ap1 turn signal plug, and use another plug on the existing ap1 harness? If this is the case which plug do you have to use from the ap1 harness to fit into the ap2 turn signal socket? As far as I can tell there are no plugs remaining as they've all now been used...

Believe it or not, the easiest way was to cut the AP1 males and replace them with AP2 males

Yeah, I actually got a full ap2 taillight harness when I did mine. I just soldered it in and plugged all the connectors into the tails perfectly. Everything works great.

I bookmarked this thread a while ago and have plans to facelift my rear lights...

I remember the first post with pictures was very useful but since the site design has changed I can no longer access the pictures.

Is it possible to rehost these pictures for viewing?
