Default 6 1/2" Sub Enclosure Help

I'm looking for optimal dimensions for this 6 1/2" sub I'm thinking about installing in the secret compartment.

http://www.tb-speaker.com/detail/1230_04/w6-1139si.htm

The only problem is that the manufacturer doesn't provide the specs needed to build an optimal box for the speaker. I was wondering if someone can decipher the information provided in the given website and enlighten me with rough estimates of how much optimal airspace is required and the dimensions needed to meet those requirements.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've done lots of reseach on this driver......all the parameters you ever need are there.....

this driver works best in a vented enclosure....
you need .4 cu/ft
you need 2, 1 inch ports, 6.24 inches long to tune it at 38 hz

if you have room to go .5 cu/ft...you'll get a small boost around 45 hz

You can go sealed...0.2 cu/ft ..but you will be half as loud as ported at 70hz and far worse the lower you go.

I really like these little subs.....and they can take a lot more power than they are rated for.

dimensions are up to you.......

I used this driver's little brother to make a stealth sub for my passat

Awesome! Thats exactly what I need! I do still have more questions though,to my understanding as long as I have .4 cu/ft and 2 1 inch ports 6 inches long I would get optimal preformance. The question is are there any good ways to do this with the secret compartment? I'm afraid it may look tacky.

I personally wouldn't use it there...passenger foot well would be more likely unless you are in high quality fabricating.

Hey I know this sub! I have one in a 0.35 cu ft. vented enclosure in my Civic. You will NOT be disappointed with it's performance.

You might try using WinISD to figure out your box calculations. There are a bunch of pre-loaded driver specs in there including this one.
