Default ? about having an auto-top down with alarm

Hi, I am new here and do not own an s2000 yet but plan on being a future owner and just doing a little research.

My question is, has anyone been able to properly hook an an aftermarket alarm system and have one of those relays that can make the windows automatically roll down/up also do the same to the top?

Basically, im asking if it is possible to have an auxillary output to allow the top to either go up or down with a touch of a button on an aftermarket alarm.

I was just thinking this would be sweet to have. Imagine just hitting a button when getting out of your car and walking away while the top just closes. Or walking towards your car and the top is already folding down while getting in.

Any comments would be great.

It would be possible but you still have to remember that the latches are still manual.

the problem you have is latches - if you spend the money for an alarm why waste it by leaving the latches unclipped. But it is possible - its just like a window roll down or trunk find the relay and youre good to go

Yup. Without latches its pretty useless as far as security goes. However, if you want that feature to block a drizzle, then the latches dont really *need* to be closed. However, if its a downpour, water will get in.
