Default Aem Ems-Umm?!? Dead Temp Gauge as usual

I posted this in forced induction to but you guys are the tech savy's...Anybody else seen or had this problem? I've had my Aem Ems 1052 installed for about 5 months now and have NEVER seen it go above 1 bar, which is the usual as you all know seeing how the ems can't read the temp correctly ( blah blah blah you know already )

...I started it up tonight with an outside temp of maybe 35 degrees. I moved it maybe 30 yards let it warm up and started to drive, then it went FULL BARS about 2 min later and the rest of the way home ( 20 miles )...I tried shutting the car off twice, but it would reset the gauge to 1 bar again and then a min later go back to FULL AGAIN. I have NEVER had this issue before...anyone have any thoughts on what could be causing this?!? I had my car out this summer in 100 degree weather and never had this issue.

UPDATE UPDATE...I just went out to the car after sat ALL night in 35* weather...I turned the key to acc and waited...sure enough 20 seconds later the temp gauge went FULL bars again...now thats with a ice cold motor! So wth is going on here! I even went as far as pull the negative terminal off the battery and let it sit for a couple minutes then repeated the wait and sure enough about 20 seconds later it went full bars again...I tried starting the car it started right up and 20 seconds later the same thing lol ponder2.gif I'm stumped at this point! I can't possibly be the thermostat the motor is ice cold.
