Thumbs up AEM Serial Gauge Displays Incorrect AIT

I just installed an AEM serial gauge and downloaded the BASE CAL AEM 3.5 bar file for the gauge. Everything seems to display ok except for AIT. AIT at start-up is shown at 16F. However, the gauge seems to capture the temp rise okay. After 5 mins of idle it goes up to 45F and after a drive around town it went up to 70-90F. Does anyone know what's the problem? Is the gauge/software out of calibration or is it my sensor bad?

The base intake temp calibration is way off. Search on here for correct one and that should fix it.

My car was recently tuned. Will changing the intake temp calibration require a retune? I just want to get the gauge to read correct temp. Thanx.
