AEM Serial vs. UEGO Wideband
Can anyone answer a real quick, dumb, and pending question for me?
I have the AEM EMS without the built in UEGO. So i bought the UEGO wideband gauge and added it to the setup.
Does the AEM serial gauge operate the same (o2 wideband aspect) as the UEGO? Or is it the UEGO plus features? I like the different features on the serial gauge, but dont want to give up my wideband o2 sensor.
Someone PLEASE explain to me the differences?

the serial guage just is a display for sensors that the aem ems is all ready monitering, plus you can add sensors (oil pressure, oil temp) if you had the 1052U the serial guage would also display AF because the U means uego - and the ems has the control built in.
So keep your Uego and add a serial guage - Any more when i do custom builds i tell my clients to buy the 1052U and 2 serial guages, with a 2 guage a-pilar you can monitor almost anything, plus you setup warnings when specs of monitored snsors go out of range they will let you know.

I have the 1052U and two serial gauges all the info I could possibly want in addition to modifry's temp gauge mod

1052u and 2 serial gauges here also

come on roy365!
i would add an oil pressure and oil temp sending unit, you dont need the modify water temp, as you can monitor it thru the serial guage, the modifry fix is to make the bars of water temp work correctly, and i still dont trust it.
run the progauge software, choose your map sensor calibration table from there default ones, then select which data and in what order you want
if u want to add extra, look at aem forums for the scaling of it. i wanted 02 feedback to show up on the gauge, and that one was different then say the intake air temp scaling. i think it was sign or cosign. **** i dont remember. its werid, thats all i can say. not linear.

Cool. thanks for the tips. the AEM instructions online dont mention any of that.
Picked up an Autometer dual pod from Jegs. i think i like it better than the other one, this one fits same and has the defrost hole built in.
also picked up a serial gauge from autoanything.com on sale for like $199.00 with free shipping.
