Default EMS (1052 vs 1052u)

I'm still not understanding the difference.

1052 does not have a UEGO option, but I can still get the 6 in 1 gauge, correct?
...so what's the difference?

..either way, I need a gauge.

(probably a dumb question, but still not getting it through my head)

is that the only advantage?

You can get the gauge, but it will not display AFR.

so the only way to get the AFRs displayed is to get the 1052U or a separate wideband?

does AEM make one?

AEM does make a separate WB but it doesnt integrate with the 1052. It just acts like an o2 sensor, and happens to be a WB with a gauge. I got mine used for $300. I prolly payed too much.

Yeah it does. Both the Standalone (I have this and a 1012) and the Gauge Type (buddy has this and 1052) have a 5V output that you connect to the AEM's O2 #1 pin (C16 on 1012) and you calibrate the AEM accordingly. You get full AFR readout in the AEM software and can use O2 feedback to auto tune.

Not sure how much more integration you want.

All the AEM 1052U has that the 1012 and 1052 don't is the control circuitry that is required to run a UEGO and this comes in both the AEM UEGOs.
