Default Aftermarket alarm?

After having my car back at the Honda dealer every single day of ownership for problems related to the #*&@Q$% alarm they installed, I've decided to have it yanked out and get a refund. So, now I've got about $400 to spend on an aftermarket alarm. I only need door/trunk releases, as well as a prox. sensor, so it's not a complicated system... Any suggestions?
I found some posts regarding this topic, but most were a year old, and things have probably changed since then...

After getting my '01 s2k, had the local stereo/alarm shop install a Clifford alarm. comes with the radar sensor to protect the cabin when the top is down and comes with two different remotes, one that is user friendly, one with unlabeled buttons for greater programming ability. Works like a charm.

My girlfiend has a '00 s2k where the honda dealership put a DEI alarm on hers. got the keep the stock transmitter and has the radar sensor on her's as well. Works well also.

I paid $400, she paid $600.

Ditto on the Cliffords.

After your ordeal with the dealer, I'm sure you recognize the importance of a reputable installer. In addition to having a quality install, make sure that any shop you choose will back you up if the dealer in the future choose to use the "aftermarket" alarm installation as a reason for voiding the warranty on your electrical system.
