Default Aftermarket Component speakers?

I have a nice JL audio amp 300/4 lying in the garage and figured it would be cool to get a nice audio system installed in my 06 sebring silver. Do you guys have any suggestions on a nice component set up? I know JL is one of the best if not the best audio companys so I would like to stick witht heir brand. I already have an aftermartet head unit (Alpine). Dont get me wrong i love the engine sound and could listen to it all day everyday but I just thought I would put that nice amp to use. Ive got about 300 to spend. I was looking at the JL c2 650. Any Ideas?

I agree, i like boston acoustics components but I would stick with jl audio for subs and amps. MB Quart used to make really nice speakers too, prior to being bought by rockford fosgate I am not sure if they are as good as they used to be when they were handmade in germany.

okay ill check out boston acoustics. Will i need to make an adapter to fit them or will they drop in? also is sound dampeners necessary for a component installation? i have never had a nice set of components and always used a sub for bass so how much of a difference would it make if i installed them with no sound dampeners

Infinity Kappa components are my choice. They handle lots of power.

nicely done. I see for the C5's you had to use spacers. Where did you mount the crossovers? and about how much were the c5's? the guy at the stereo shop said i could get the c2 for around 300 and the c5 for like 450 but ive looked online and found c2 for like 150.

I would dynamat the whole door while your at it, it will greatly improve the sound quality and alleviate any potential vibration issues. Also, it will help the road noise when you have the top up (very nice if you have aftermarket exhaust or while on the phone).
