Default Aftermarket Deck

OK, my OEM is a POS. Right now I don't have plans to do too much to my S but I have to have music. (CD player is screwed). So, I need something under $200, with an IPOD input (BTW, I dont have an Ipod, I have a Samsung mp3, does this make a difference). and I still want the door to close. I am by no means an expert. ANy help is appreciated Thanks.

Alpine is the way to go. PM Imadarkrider for a great deal from an authorized seller. He will help you pick the model that's right for you.

Get the Alpine ida-x100 so you won't have to deal with CD player anymore.

Np :-) glad everything went good.... the power pack is pretty sweet... it uses the same tech as the PDX amps... it puts out 50w x 4 RMS (which the radio only does 18 rms) does 100x4 peak.... it's plug and play , you don't have to hook anything else up - no running power wire , no rca's... nada! and it's at a price point which is sweet at $99.99 , I'd recommend it to anyone not wanting to get a 4 channel amp but wants more power.

BTW, if you don't have an iPod you don't need iPod input (sounds kinda obvious don't it).

What you need is AUX input. There are a bunch of low cost head units that have AUX these days.

Next issue is dash control. Easy with a Modifry DCI but that's half your budget blown right there.

I didn't see your budget..... I know where you can get a 9884 (new alpine) with an ipod cable ,and wiring harness for under 200.... that's a steal right there
