how would you plug in a usb key anyways if its in the back, the wire seems to be too short to run outside...

i have it. I just used a usb extender cord thing. Its long enough to reach the back of the car. lol I just routed mine to the center "cup holder" as I use it everyday and I keep the ipod in the secret compartment

I'm going to get a extension and put it by the net and have a Ipod in the compartment, seems like usb would be a nice little hasslefree option to just load and go music.

exactly! and with prices of usb drives dropping like bird crap, its easier on the wallet than a dedicated ipod where it would only be used as a storage device instead of a portable player
