Default Aftermarket HU installation question

I had a new HU installed over the weekend. The car was purchased from another owner who had installed his own HU and an amplifier in the trunk.

All has worked perfectly-- sound to all 6 speakers, fader biased towards the front speakers (given the quality/output of the headrest one), calibrated the amplifier (was way out of range, resuling in high gain/droning sound under acceleration). The one thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to make the S2000's MUTE and VOLUME buttons to the left of the steering wheel operate. Somehow I've now lost the ability to control volume & mute from the car's switches.

Can you please help out with info/ideas?

Thanks!

Dimitris

You need the modify adapter for the left controls to work. Search modifry in google.

I just recently installed a modifry adapter. It works very well, super easy install if you get the PnP adapter along with it.

Good Luck,

As the others said, the controls nativly will only control the stock HU. You need the Modifry adapter to get it to work with the controls. The Modifry also gives you much more added functionality.
