Default factor stock radio to aftermarket

when you upgrade your factory stock radio to an aftermarket radio like one of the alpine aftermarkets, do you know if the radio control panel (left side of the steering wheel) will still work?

If you have an alpine, which model do you like? I like the alpines because of their quality and ipod link capable cables.

I am not sure on the hondas.. But I had a SVT Focus with steering wheel controls kinda like the setup on the S2000. I had a sony HU and they made a harness that adapted into it. The thing worked with a couple features but not all. There was a big stink on the forums about this with different HU's. I think it's safe to say that the aftermarket HU will prolly nullify your ability to use the stock remote controls.
