Alarm Issue on 08 S2k
Okay!
I have an oem alarm install in my car and it controls hood, doors and trunk. For some odd reason when I was detailing the interior of the S I would hear a release sound from the trunk. Initially I thought that the fob was pinned with seat and it was pressuring the trunk button making it open. Removed key from car and place it out side with control buttons facing up. I continued with cleaning and so often like every 4-5 minutes I would hear the trunk lock release. I went in the house to check on the second key fob to make sure nothing was depressing the trunk button and it was free of anything touching it. I just recently closed car with the fob and as expected about 5 min later the car trunk is popped open and the car alarm is blaring in the garage.
What in the world is going on? Anyone has experienced this problem with the OEM alarm? I cant seem to find my alarm instruction booklet at the present time, but in the mean while if you have an idea of what is going on with the car please advise.
Thanks in Advance

I have an 07 with the OEM alarm.
My guess is it's not the alarm but a problem with the trunk lock solenoid.
One easy way to temporarily stop it from happening is to unplug the electrical connection to the solenoid behind the panel at the trunk lock --then you'll have to use the key to open the trunk but at least it would stop it from opening from the signal every 5 mins and tripping the alarm.
The problem may be in the wiring, the solenoid, or in the switch in the center console.
