well there's a cd lodged in there. i push eject but it seems like it doesn't want to come out. any suggestions? i'm about to open it, but i want that to be the last resort.

is this a swivel face unit?

your only option may be to return to the dealer and/or call Alpine.

 

Will the cd play? Is the area your in having any kind of humid climate as of late?

Reason Im asking is cuz I had an alpine not want to eject a cd, especially in the early morning when there was alot of moisture in the air, condensation on the ground.

Try pressing the reset button...that little tiny push button that looks like the tip of a pen or something smaller will only fit. If that doesnt get it to work, hold down the eject button for about 5 to 10 seconds...this usually works if there are no other problems present.

If your area has had alot of moisture lately, remove the unit, take a hair dryer to it for a few minutes and plug it back up and try to eject again.

If its not ejecting like say mid day when its warm out, do the reset button and holding down the eject button thing.

If all else fails the units loading mechanism may be on its way out.

 

heres a trick that works on most alpines i have seen get stuck. grab another cd, press eject, when you hear it try to reject the cd out, use the cd in your hand and stick it in there and use it as leverage to somehow lift the cd up. give it a few tries using different techniques.

it should work. always works for me.
