alpine 9855 display turns off after 4 secs

Default alpine 9855 display turns off after 4 secs

Sorry for the dumb question, but after a passenger touched my 9855 headunit, the display now turns off within 4 seconds of being touched. Cant for the life of me figure out how to make it stay on.

please help

You pushed the display button. You'll have to push and hold it a few seconds to bring it back to normal.

i'm not sure which of those it is (i think display as John stated is correct.), but either way it's in your owners manual.

or just hit the reset button and it would go back to factory spec

no... you don't need to do a reset. that'll wipe all his settings.

this is a simple setting that many of the Alpine HU's offer. it's a feature they call 'Blackout Mode' and is pretty common on some gear.

try holding down the Display button and see if it doesn't resolve itself.
