This is probably me being an idiot but here goes.....

I was driving, blasting my tunes and all is well....then, I slipped and "hit a button" Mix came on.....no biggie...turned it off.

Now, neither my Alpine remote, or my dash controls (lucid) will go to the next/previous track (in CD mode). The radio and XM presets work fine (They go next/previous the way they should). I have the Alpine 9807....

WHAT THE HELL DID I DO!!!!!!

I know it will remove all of your presets, but have you tried to 'reset' the unit?

I don't know why you had the problem, but resetting the unit should clear out any issues the hu might have.

Something weird like that happened to me once too. Reset the HU and reprogram your presets.

Also check somethning called the "defeat" if this is turned on, all of your programming is over ridden. just switch the defeat to off and all functionality returns as pre programmed.

This only happened to me once when I was pressing buttons without reading the manual. Now that I have a good grasp of the HU it hasn't happened again

Is there a way to reset the HU without actually unplugging it from the harness (like pressing a button or 2)?

Thanks.....
