Sweet Jesus

I hope "darkknight1999" starts a "GB" for this gizmo. I'm definitely very much interested.

if you buy it from a non Alpine dealer and you have a problem... Apline said they will ONLY warrantee from Dealer. It could cost 100-200 repair for a non warrantee issue

Crutchfield free shipping on orders over $130
No tax
Radio connector / kit free

its not such a bad deal, my local shop want $500 installed plus radio kit plus tax = about $565
Dude, thats a ripoff. Sorry.

I see Crutchfield coupons every now and again on the internet. $20 off. If I see one, I will post it up.

Anyone know if you can tune the audio as much as you could on the CDA-9857? Time correction, adjustable EQ, etc...

Anyone know if this will DEFINITELY work with the iPhone when that comes out? I would assume so if it works with 4th gen, then any new iPod should be compatible...

I am wanting to pull the trigger on this piece but am waiting to hear if it fits. I put one in my sisters Beetle convertible this weekend and liked it quite a bit.
Has anyone seen one in an S yet?

It fits... only thing is to find a place that'll sell it for cheap.

You should have test fit it in the S. Might have taken about 30 minutes. But it will fit, just so you know

I would have tried a test fit had my S been there......traveled across the pass for an Easter family thing. Did not want to be on Snoqualmie this time of year in my shiny black car (took the wifes Toyota!).

That being said it looks like it will stick out a bit further than a 9885 due to the big knob. I may just try it as I can pick one up for $252 +tax from a friends employee discount deal.

The USB option is very cool. You can run an Ipod, a thumb drive and an RCA all on their own cables.

The display was hard to read in the sun on the Beetle as it sits up high on the dash.....should not be a problem for the Honda.
