Does anyone know if this receiver will allow me to close the stereo cover door on the S2K? I'm looking for something low key and this might be my best bet. Any reasons that I shouldn't get one?

yes it will close.

 

It will close but if the stereo is off, it will turn it on by pressing the enter button on the big knob.

I still have to trim the corner of that raised piece on the left side by an inch or so. I only close the door when I shut the car off so it's not a big deal.

The x100 is a great unit btw...i've had it for a few weeks now and its working well.

just hooked up my old mb quarts from my last car and the power is pretty decent, although i may hook up my old RF 2 channel amp at some point

 

Thanks for the replies! Either of you use the x100 with a 4th gen iPod? or do you have 5th gen or newer? I just want to see if I really need to get a new ipod or if it can wait. I don't want to have to wait forever to scroll through 40gb of music.

 

I have a 5G Video...it pulls the album art which is nice.

 

i looked at one of these earlier today. I asked the sales rep if there was anyway that the video ipod would play on the screen. I was told no, but we know someone will eventually "break the ice" HOPEFULLY!!!

 

I have the ida x001 closes fine but running red display and radio dimmer on while headlight on you will loose the SWI with DCI

I have to run blue light with my red interior

Alpine is not owning up to it and the PAC SWI has same problem
