Default Alpine MP3 Changer Question from left Field

OK....

Below are listed three links concerning the Alpine CHM-S634. and hooking it up to the stock Head Unit... I understand that with two adapters it can be done...

Now the follow on question is.... Can you use the CRA-1667RF

to control the unit & get the CD text, while still using the dash controls & direct connection to the stock HU...

Basically.. I want dash control & direct connection (not FM MOD) AND the ability to use CD-TEXT... anyone know if this can be done? If so.. this is FINALLY my mp3 solution

wow you want your cake and eat it too, eh? why not just replace the HU with an alpine that can do text and be done with it? that will also allow you to do XM, and will be a neater, easier to use package.

Basically because I'll never need to open the radio door again..

Talking to an install shop about mounting the 1667 in the visor.. if it works, it's my perfect solution
