I just purchased an Alpine PDX-V9 5 channel amp to run two door speakers, two tweeters in the doors and 1 12 inch sub in a sealed enclosure.

I have never wired anything except a monoblock amp.

I am looking for suggestions if the tweeters need to be on their own channel (tweeters are Pioneer TS-A300TW).

subwoofer is a

Rockford Fosgate P3D4-10 Punch P3 DVC 4-Ohm 10-Inch 500-Watt RMS 1000 Watts Peak Subwoofer

I am also looking on recommendations on what settings to tune once installed

Connect door mid speakers and tweeters to same amp output channel. But connect a hardware high pass filter before the tweeters.

 

One more question. I am switching from the speakers wired to the head unit to the amp. They are currently connected to the harness going to the HU.

Can I leave that harness connected to the HU for the door speakers and just cap it off? I don’t want to cut into the HU harness if I don’t have to and just run my new wiring to the amp.

 

Instead you can reuse that harness. Buy a Honda hu harness. It'll plug right into that harness plug, then wire that into your hu harness.

If you do want to pull your own wires, just leave the harness plig hanging there. No need to cap it off.

I wanted to put it above the gas tank, was curious where you put yours.
