Hi...I think this is my first post to the forum, although I have been reading the messages for a while. Anyways, has anyone installed the Alpine SPXF17M speakers in their doors? Do they fit ok? While I'm having a professional installer do the work, I was wondering if I should be providing them with the lucid door adapter kit, and/or the door wiring harness (I plan on ordering the DCI from Lucid). My car is a year 2000, so there is no tweeter pod...they are recommending the tweeter be placed next to the woofer at an upward angle.

I'm definitely not going with a sub (I really hate losing any trunk space), but am considering getting an amp (Alpine MRVT320) to power the door speakers, moving the factory speakers to the panels behind the seats (powered by the Alpine CDA9815 head unit's internal amp), but I may not do this until later.

Comments on any of this definitely welcome!

 

Let the installer do his job, he should be able to install everything without you providing him the adapter or harness.
