Default alpine sub, mtx amp

the alpine srs 10" is a 4ohm sub. the mtx tc3001 is rated at 150w at 4ohm and 300W at 2ohm. if i get these two, will only 150w from the amp be powering the sub or all 300, even though the ohms are different. and will there be a noticable difference. i like this amp 'cause its small

You will only get 150w. Unless you buy two subs, wire them in series. This will drop the ohm load down to 2 ohms, drawing all 300w from the amp, and the amp will run hotter. But it will still be only 150w going to each sub.

Is your sub the SWS-1042D or the SWS-1022D?
