Default Alpine Type X 6 1/2 components

Im new to the site, and was not able to find anything in a search, so if this topic has been gone over before i appologize. I was just wondering if any of you are running Alpine Type X components as i just picked up a set in a trade for some other parts i had, and if so if there was any modification needed to get them to fit. If they will not work, what are you guys running for aftermarket components.

Thought id update for anyone who is looking for the answer. I was able to get these to fit. The stock basket must come out, and i used about a 3/4" spacer for them and had no issue clearing the window.

Don't know about the 6.5s but I have the 5.25" (got them suuuuppper cheap - $120) Sound great and fit was a snap.

dang, very cheap. i gave a used intercooler for mine. i figured the 5's would fit, ive just heard different things about deep 6" speakers getting in the way of the window rolling down and was just curious if i would need to make spacers or if can even be done.

They will fit, but you will probably need a .5-.75" baffle board. / spacer. I am pretty sure they will not fit into the stock baskets.

I know Darkknight1999 has these, but he also has custom door panels....

They should fit into modded stock baskets with the alpine adapter.

ok, thanks for the info guys. i have a friend who is an installer, and i figured he would be able to do something, but if it was very difficult to do, i was going to go another route.

You just need to cut the back off the stock speaker baskets. 2 minute job.
