Default Who's got a really high powered sound system?

ok this is what i plan on putting in my S2000.

Head Unit: Alpine 7995
Front Speakers: Boston Pro 6.5 components
Rear speakers: Boston Pro 4.5 comps
Subwoofer: Adire Audio Brahma 12"
Amps: JBL 80.4 and JBL 1200.1

I've heard the brahma run off a 1200.1 and it is a monster! IMHO it's the best sub on the market (and only really rivaled by the JL W7 and Image Dynamics IDMAX). My only concern is will this be TOO much in such a little car? Can anyone else with a really high powered system advise me before i drop the cash? BTW i already have the speakers so they're definite.

i used to have a 12" eclipse ti and an X1001 in another vehicle. nice setup. So could you answer my question? Do you ever feel it's TOO much? If you were to do it over again would you?

My setup was like Hamada's. No, it wasn't too much. For an enclosed vehicle, maybe, but not the S2000. In order for the bass to really get to you from the trunk it's got move basically the entire atmosphere around the car. That takes a lot of power.

I have JL12W6 running on an old PG MS2125 (500W Bridged) and I think it sounds great!

I only have the one 10" Alpine Type R sub sealed in the trunk powered by the Alpine V12 300 W mono amp and it is more than enough...I have to adjust the base way down. I like cranking techno/dance/hip hop real loud too. No complaints from me.

also have: Alpine 7995, Alpine V12 200W, Focal 160V Polyglass components

I am not going to put in rear speakers because the set up is just right so that I can talk to someone in the passenger seat. There seems to be a perfect air pocket while still listening to the music loud.

i ordered all the stuff today. The sub is backordered for a long time so i went with an Audiomobile EVO-R 12" instead. This setup should definitely pound with a full 1200watts into that sub. Best part is i've had the speakers for a while in a previous car and got the head unit, both amps, and sub for a total of $1079 shipped! For less than $1100 this is gonna be one hell of a system. I'll report back once i get it all installed.

not sure i'm either going to have one custom built or go with the Lucid 12" enclosure if they ever get them in stock.
