Amp Kit brands
So, I'm finally getting around to installing all this stuff I have been accumulating and I am now down to purchasing the wiring. I've heard good and bad about a lot of brands, the problem for me is Im having a hard time choking down some of these prices Im finding and if Im gonna lay out that kind of cash for friggin' wires, I want to make sure Im getting quality. Here's my planned setup:
Audison LRx300.4 running Infinity Kappa Perfects 6.1 / XR525ci (for now) in S-Pods
Audison LRx400.1 running Rockford 10" DVC (for now) in Laurent Box (single)
Alpine 9857 HU
Been looking at JL Dual 4 gauge kit ($$$) and also comparable Rockford kit.
Are kits the way to go, or just buy parts and bulk wire? I read an entire article on wire and the synopsis was that cross section size is really all that matters (keeping internal resistence below a certain level). It could be a lamp cord and if it's large enough, there should be no noise.
Im also interested in opinions (based on fact) on RCAs and the like too (terminal ends, dist. blocks, fuse holders, etc..). Thanks in advance for your help. Im looking to buy this week probably (hopefully for a weekend project).

a lot of people here have been happy with
http://www.knukonceptz.com/ (myself included)
They sell kits, but I went "a la carte" in order to get
exactly what I wanted. FWIW, I used
RCA: two 4-meter Krystal Kable (one 4-channel, one 2-channel),
these are really nicely shielded
Speaker: 40 ft of twisted pair 16 gauge - this was only barely
enough for door speakers (xovers in front) + rear panel speakers.
I'd order at least 50 ft, more if you're putting the crossovers in
the trunk)
Power: 15 ft of 4ga to run from battery to trunk via passenger sill
20 ft of 8ga from distribution block to amp(s) and grounds. this is
way more than I needed.
misc: distribution block, inline fuse holder + fuses, some ring terminals
for battery connection and amp ground(s), you'll need some random
thin wire (home depot, for me) for amp turn-on leads too.
