So in what locations is it possible to put a small-to-midsized amp? Under the passenger seat? I know the trunkwell, possibly spare tire location. Anywhere else?

 

Some people use the walls of the trunk as well. You only have an inch and a half to play with under the seat, so I wouldn't recommend that route, unless you are talking about a SMALL amplifier.

IN THE SPARE TIRE! I think its 13" across is the biggest amp you can fit in there. Just make a plate that pressure fits into the spare tire and mount your amp to that. Flat take the pressure fit amp board out and place the amp in its spot.

Its not that hard. I did it and love it. Just pressure fit the tire in with a couple shims.

This is where my ADS amp is mounted. Completely hidden under a false panel. No heat problems, completely invisible, short cable runs.

I was skeptical when the installer suggested this placement, but it has worked out great!
