amp board for spare tire
I know I saw someone in here that was selling pre made boards that fit inside the spare tire. I'm trying to fit an 11 1-/2 x 11 3/4 amp in; any help would be appreciated.
With the right equipment (ie jigsaw), it is very easy to do yourself. All you need to do is get some MDF from your local hardware store and measure up the dimensions. It is probably worth squaring off one edge so that you can still easily remove the spare tyre/tire.
I made a board up for my PPI amp and mounted it in the spare tire. I am happy with the install as you would never even know that it is there, and retaining boot space was a priority.

I found out that the amp I got from a friend; an kenwood ps200; is designed with angled corners to fit in a spare perfectly. I installed it today and it fits like a glove. Appreciate the info anyway.
I am very glad you posted that photo cos it helps with visualising exactly how i can set up that space!!
You got a cap on them amps?? My two amps are putting out about 700RMS so not sure whether to install the cap. I already have it so i suppose i may as well - it might help with the bass response.....
How is the board held to the floor??
