Hey folks. Trying to setup my system right now and running into some problems with my amp/subwoofer. I am running a JL audio 500/1 amp and a JL audio 10w6V2 sub. The source unit is an Alpine 9857. I can hear that the subwoofer is on but it is barely audible.

Any suggestions on what might be wrong? Anybody with the same system have any pointers on what I should do? I'm all out of ideas at this point.

Have you adjusted the subwoofer and bass on the 9857?

 

Okay...turns out the amp was defective. Returned it for a new one and all is good again.

 

gotta love JL warranty
