Default amp turn on lead for stock head unit

Was there ever a consenses of where to hook up the turn on lead, i am keeping the stock headunit, i just need to know where to ttap the amp turn on lead to? I am planning on putting the amp underneath the passenger seat. I have a blaupunk pa275 and will be using speaker level inputs, I know some amps don't need turn on leads, if u use speaker level inputs, but i don't know if that is the case for this amp.
thank

Do you have access to the owner's manual for the amplifier? Does it not answer this question?

Blaupunkt seems to be a fairly large company. They might have a tech support line or email address where you can find the answer.

Good luck and let us know what you find out.

You can tap in behind the radio - it is a green/yellow wire that has a funky connector on it where it connects to a larger gauge wire of the same color.

You can also tap in to the same wire by pulling the panel from behind the passenger seat - it is right there.

i had read some posts that said that the antenna lead has no power when the cd player is one?? so i was just wondering if that was the same wire lead.

i stripped the wire, and used a volt meter, and it has power thru it when the raddio thurns on, but as soon as you turn on the cd player, it drops in volts, to like nothing, so i had to electrice tape that back up and wound up using the accessory 12 volt wire, behing the headunit as to solder in the remote run on lead.

Interesting - thanks for clarifying.

My amp seemed to work fine using it as a turn-on lead. Perhaps my amp was also sensing input signal?
