amp under seat...
any chance that THIS AMP will fit under the driver's or passenger's seat?
how much room is there to play with underneath? i suppose i could go yank a seat and measure but i'm sure someone here has already done that and could save me some time scrounging for tools
thanks!

Under the driver's seat, most likely. Under the passenger, I doubt it. I think there is like 2.5-2.75" of clearance under the drivers seat, and it is like 11" and change in width. Not much room for air circulation, but as long as when the A/C is on, a floor vent is running, it shouldnt be a problem.

Hi, I just had this installed under my seat.
Only issue: the amp is slightly wedge-shaped, so the low part of the wedge fits under the seat, BUT the controls are then not accessible, so tune the system and get levels set before you screw it down. I have to now unscrew it to set levels since the installer did not..............

Yeah. Mine are 1" Blaupunkt tweeters. Not hard to mount. You need to cut a sliver of aluminum or something to mount them to. Remove A-pillars, glue strip to A-pillar frame, bend 90 degrees so tweeter will sit on it, the tape tweeter to it. Space is kinda tight, so it takes some patience (you will probably drop the metal a few times and have to fish it out of the dash). It is also a bit of a pain to run tweeter wires through door grommets. Make sure there is enough wire there. Some tweeters only have little pig-tails for wires. Needle nose plyers will help a lot. Then drill a speaker pattern into the lower portion of the A-pillar. It is still a bit muffled, so in a few weeks I am probably going to just cut out a portion of the pillar and fit some speaker screen in. Should sound a bit better then.
Nicotunes - How do you like this amp? I believe that you are amping the fronts and leaving the S-pods to run off the HU power. How does this work out? Does the difference in the wattage provide good rear fill? I reversed the left and right speaker inputs into the S-pods to prevent signal cancellation. Sounds good, but all my speakers are running off HU power now, and are faded to +9 to the front to keep S-pods from blowing my head off! Was the GT-22 worth the $? If so, where did you get it?

Nicotunes, are you saying that you just had the Boston Acoustics GT-22 installed under the driver seat? I too am looking at amp options for front components and any new info will help a lot!
It does stick out a bit in front of the seat, but being wedged shaped, it does fit well under there.
