Also, would you mind sharing the model / size of screen your using? I got this 8.8" mini ultrawide but it looks like whatever you got fits way better. I would have to trim out those side tabs for sure.

 

I'm using waveshare 8.8" LCD with 3D printing screen mount

 

Oh, so we have the same screen then.

I got mine to fit but obviously it's too wide for the opening. I had to set margins of 115px on the config, but now the touch screen is not calibrating right. are you using the touch at all or only the knob controls? And my openauto is not scaling correctly. still trying to get that to work....

 

I’m still working to calibrate the touch and get the other things right.

Ah i see, yea that is where i'm currently stumped. nothing is working.... tried to use xinput_calibrate multiple times. Still trying to figure out some way to do it. What is that controller you are using for the knob control? looks like something from an audi?

Also the dashboard program, did you make that? does not look like the openauto pro dashboards.

Alright i made some progress on my setup. Instead of trying to recalibrate the touch screen i'm just running the app with smaller window size specified.

 

Ok, rough mockup here.... Unfortunately it hits behind the dash, so I guess i'll need to trim out the red area.

 

looks great, Im searching for slim screen to avoid trimming the dashboard.

 

knob controller from Audi with CANBUS adapter to get the data from my MOTEC ECU. a lot of issue still present. helpfully i can get it work smoothy soon
