Default Another Focal Component Speaker Question...

I'm contemplating between the Utopia Line (top of the line) or the K-series. Is the extra price worth it for the Utopia? Anybody with experience with any of these speakers? Any information is greatly appreciated.

I have the Utopia series and think they are fantastic, however, I can't answer your question since I've never had the K series. On another note I've heard a few opinions that there is no need to spend the extra money on the Utopia since the S is an open air environment, and not the best for sound reproduction. So why pay extra when you can't hear the difference.

i love my 165Ks, if the Ws are better I'd be really impressed, especially in a convertible. i doubt they are twice as good (in terms of price). whatever you decide on, make sure you give them enough power (at least 100RMS), they really sing once at those levels!

The K's have a mellower sound; actually I think it is more pleasant to listen to. An in an open roadster, you won't tell the difference, but you will feel the difference in your wallet.
