and the boston acoustics z6 if there is any better speakers Money is no issue

i'm obviously looking for a 6.5 component system so what else is out there.

Infinity Kappa perfects.

But to answer your dilemma.....

The Focals are "warm" sound like a nice jazz club with wood wall panels. Clean, crisp, etc.

MBs are very good as well, but are more "tinny" The tweeter is harsher, the sssssssss sound is stronger, but its not everyone's cup of tea...(it is mine however)

The high end Focals (K2 or Utopia) should blow away the MBs. MBs can be very harsh depending in the type of music you listen to. Best thing is to bring a few of your favorite CD's and listen to the speakers you're considering. You should hear a big difference between titanium and soft dome tweeters. But even then it might be difficult because different shops will have different set-ups. If you're in the market for Focals, you might as well look at Dynaudios and high end ADSs(346is?). I just put in Nakamichi components into my S2000. They sound pretty good but not as crisp as Dynaudio or Focal Utopia --- I didn't want to spend more than $300.

As much as I dont condone MBs, the QSD are nice speakers, and hardly get blown away by any other.

You might as well get speakers from autozone for 4.99 a pair if you dont get a headunit.
