Default Another GPS mountning question

I'm looking to update my GPS, i have an old Garmin Nuvi from nearly 6 years ago. I'm getting tired of the windshield mount, and was looking into an air vent mount, however, i cannot find any info on whether there are any that would fit the s2k's vent. I've gone through 4/5 pages of threads and couldnt find anything relevant. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are there any that fit the s2k?

I have never seen a S2k specific vent mount on the market, but I bet it would be possible to fabricate one that doesn't damage the louvers since the upper most one is static.

Hi ZDM,

I got the Arkon GNO47; go to the link below:

Arkon Mounts

Have had this setup for three years now and love the fact that I can operate the GPS/Bluetooth/MP3 while my hand is resting on the handbrake, which gives good stability using the Garmin touch screen. Here are a few pics:

At that price, really hard to beat

thanks Encyclo, i'll check them out, i ended up picking up a new model Garmin, so hopefully it'll work out

Have you tried a fit for the vent above the AC controls? the spacing looks pretty much the same.

Good morning,

Have only tried it in the current location; find it less intrusive that way and GPS reception is not an issue. Don't use it much for navigation, more for the Bluetooth and MP3, so being low is not an issue for me.

I am sure it will fit the other vent.
