Any way to remove the glove compartment door?
Just receive my IDA-X001. I'm trying to run the USB cable under the center console into the glove compartment through the door hinge. It doesn't look like the hinge gap is big enough to fit the USB female connector through. So, I'm thinking about removing the compartment door for the installation. Could this be done?
i hope not because then that would have saved me 3 hours of taking that whole compartment out of the car to install the cable....lol
ill look into it a bit later...someone might have already dont something like that...thats a good idea

I fed the small wire through the hole in the glove box. Than took the long part and ran it under the passenger side console. After pulling up the middle part of the console I pulled the small part and connected it ..
Does this make any sense or should I just take a couple of photos ? It only took me about 30 minutes to run the wire..

I thought I did too, the one that came with the IDA-X001 ?That was the short cable with a ipod plug on one side and a female usb on the other end. I fished the female into the hinge hole then stuck my hand under the glove box and pulled it out, plugged in the male end and stuffed it back under the box.
