Default Any way to remove the glove compartment door?

Just receive my IDA-X001. I'm trying to run the USB cable under the center console into the glove compartment through the door hinge. It doesn't look like the hinge gap is big enough to fit the USB female connector through. So, I'm thinking about removing the compartment door for the installation. Could this be done?

I fed the small wire through the hole in the glove box. Than took the long part and ran it under the passenger side console. After pulling up the middle part of the console I pulled the small part and connected it ..
Does this make any sense or should I just take a couple of photos ? It only took me about 30 minutes to run the wire..

Are you referring to the hinge when you say hole? Could you please take some pics? Thanks!

You wanna take those screw out of the bottom part of the glove box, then work the short wire that goes in the ipod out the bottom so you can plug it in....

thx for the pics but my wire has USB female connector, not iPod connector. So, it won't fit through the hinge.

I thought I did too, the one that came with the IDA-X001 ?That was the short cable with a ipod plug on one side and a female usb on the other end. I fished the female into the hinge hole then stuck my hand under the glove box and pulled it out, plugged in the male end and stuffed it back under the box.
