Default Help with cup holder retractible door spring.

First of all, I know this is not an electronics issue, but only people who have removed the center console to wire stereo equipment and what not might understand what I am talking about.

Second, I think only MY04-05 owners with the cup holder with retractible door will know what I am talking about.

Here we go...I have removed/lifted the center console lid a few times to wire stereo equipment, and I noticed a few days ago that the retractible lid on the cup holder no longer retracks (I have to push it back). So I removed the console again to look around and I found a little wheel like spring laying loose in the console. It took me a while to figure out what it was, but then I realised it was for the retractible cup holder door. I figured out where it goes, but I have not figured out where on the door the one end hooks to. Does anyone one know what the hell I am talking about, and if so, can you tell me how to hook the dam thing back up. Thanks.

man.. it took me about hour to get the spring re-hooked also.
You can't hook flat-spring by pushing it in.
Tie a string to the spring(hook) and pull it out from other side until it hooks.
(first, open up the console)

good luck. and try not to bent the spring..(which I did.. grrr..)

I meant to say..
don't tie a string to a hook.. (you need to take off a string later)
so.. try to hang a string(middle) to a hook.

I can't explain it nicely since my English suck..
so.. let me draw some pic.(my drawing sucks also)
More you disassemble the console, it's easier to fix..
I hope you will get the idea..
here

you need to put a string through between 2 plates.
it seems at first there is no space between plates.. but you can push the spring in...
there is tiny gap between plates....
hmmm.. 아씨발 영어로설명하기 졸라힘드네쓰발

Thanks, that helps a lot. Does look like a pain in the butt though. I will give it a whirl tomorrow.
