Anyone work with an MTX Thunder4405 5 Channel Amp?
I am thinking about going for a 5 channel amp to avoid using more than one amp for my setup. Has anyone else used a 5 channel successfully? Any suggestions on where to mount this amp? It's a little large at: 15 7/8" x 9 13/16" x 2 1/4".
I was thinking about trying DJ Qube's idea of going for inside the spare tire. It is a little too big to completely fit. I am thinking I might be able to squeeze it in lenght-wise front to back and still get the spare tire cover on. I would also consider removing the spare completlely. Third option I think would be to put it in the trunk well, and move the tools to inside the spare. Of course, then if I do end up getting a sub down the road, I would need to do something else.
Man car stereo stuff is overwhelming!

I'm not sure how well Qube's idea will work in summer. My car is black, and I've already had one day where the amp overheated - granted the car was parked in the parking lot at Magic Mountain, where it was about 90 degrees, and then we had it cranked at what was probably close to full power for the drive home. I would think being in the spare tire would make it worse, but Qube can probably speak to his experience. Plus your car being silver will help keep it cooler.
