I currently have an AP1 with a AP1 headunit, but purchased AP2 doors with speakers and as you all know the AP2 doors have tweeters. Does anyone know if I can run the tweeters with the stock AP1 headunit? If possible is there a seperate channel on the headunit for the tweeters?

It will work fine. The tweeters run off the same channel as the mids. They are just split off with a bass blocker attached at the tweeter. I STRONGLY recommend upgrading HU's though, as the AP1 HU is its achilles heel (followed closely by its speakers ). If your doors did not come with the speaker wire, you will need to splice into the existing AP1 wire in your door. Make sure the bass blocker is present at the tweeter (if its not, you can blow them REAL quick).

i think there might have been a power increase from the 2001 to the 2002+ radios... i'm not sure though... but all in all - i don't think there should be problems.
