Is it possible to directly swap in oem AP2 door speakers into the AP1? Or is the wiring different?

 

Late AP1's (with the separate tweeter) and early AP2's have the same part numbers for
the speakers, so it should be a direct swap. However, if you have an early AP1 without
the separate high-mounted tweeter, then (obviously) it's not a direct swap. However,
the wiring from the headunit into the doors is the same.

 

you are better off getting after market speakers. The stock speakers are basically crap.
