Default Asteroid Smart

I've had a 2DIN hole cut in my dash for a few years now and have been waiting for the right head unit.

It's finally here (or there), the Asteroid Smart. It's 2DIN but not particularly deep as it doesn't take CDs (nor cassettes or records or other antiquated technology). It has a screen and does nav and few other things.

Only problem is Parrot Aus want $995 for it. It's $599 from Crutchfield but they won't ship to Aus.

So I'm after a good retailer of car hifi that ships international.

Failing that, a favour from someone US-side.

Sorry,long overdue.

Love the Smart. Functionality is great. Works with my iPhone nicely for calls and music. Radio works well too. Only issue is navigation. The supplied iGo is limited to the maps you get with it, which in my case are US. It is possible to 'root' it and side install other nav applications but I haven't got around to this yet.

With regards to fitting, you do have to modify an air pipe at the back left of the cavity. I heated it with a heat gun and modified it a bit but it needs another go. For now the unit sticks out a bit.

Can you post some pictures or a video, please? I'd love to see it in action!
