To seal the box well....
1) Put liquid nails on all the joints.....
2) Screw the wood together
3) Silicone all the joints from the inside.
The box will be tighter than ________ (fill in the blank
)

LOL tighter than __________!
I got the grill finally, but of course it does not fit.
Its about 5 mm larger then the circumference of the Alphasonik. Now what to do.
I can try to make some mounts for it, but I doubt that will work. The grill is super nice though. I guess I will have to go with the Alphasonik Grill.
Anyone have a sound stream 10 inch sub who would be interested in a Tarantula Grill?

my original intent was that because he was looking for a system, he added in an optima yellow top as if they were necessary for the system or at least a preparation for one.
It's only when you decide to get an alternator rewind or a HO alt that you'll benefit from the optima yellow top.
It's either all or nothing i guess.

i love mine and feel that it was well worth the money. the OEM battery was a joke and i killed it w/in months (tuning w/o the engine running a couple times, and then a slow death.)
*shrug*

lol -- i always think to myself that if i was really serious about weight reduction in my S2000, i'd lose those extra 10-15 lbs i'm toting around...
so, don't get too tied up in the grams game... (i had a friend who was SERIOUSLY into mountain biking. he spent close to $10,000 on his cycle to get it as light as possible... playing the 'grams game' as he called it. the fact that he was 6'1" and 250 lbs never seemed to occur to him as a good way to get some easy weight savings.... (and while of a big build, it was mostly around the middle)

awesome, lets not jack his thread. it might start another arguement of some sort.

ok i don't really want to go off again, but i have to
optima batteries do not respond faster than a regular battery in any way, shape or form. They just have more available current, but that's it. I had a conversation where someone said the optima batteries are able to send out power faster and such nonsense. lol.
for sure the yellow top is going to have it's advantage over stock batteries, but for the sole purpose of primary batteries, the red top does a better job than a yellow top. Not saying the yellow doesn't work, but the red works better for the purpose

Optima Battery has taken the clean, reliable, high-power output that made the OPTIMA Red Top starting battery famous and engineered in DEEP CYCLE ability. The OPTIMA BATTERY Yellow Top Deep Cycle uses the same unique SPIRALCELL Technology that outperforms and outlasts conventional flat plate batteries. The OPTIMA BATTERY design uses the same elements that Optima used to make the Red Top Starting battery. Then Optima Battery engineers then increased the battery plate density. This design gives the OPTIMA BATTERY YELLOW TOP the ability to be deeply discharged and recharged without giving up the famous Optima Battery high starting ability. <- I guess this means the Yellow top is better than the Red top... seeing as though the engineers increased the density and gave it better ability to charge and discharge better than the Red Top, which as it turns out is better for for those of us, including me, that have larger sound systems.
THE YELLOW TOP OPTIMA BATTERY provides high power output resulting in greater cranking ability at high current loads.
THE YELLOW TOP OPTIMA BATTERY is fully recharge in as little as one hour.
THE YELLOW TOP OPTIMA BATTERY has been verified in Life Cycle testing to exceed 350 complete discharges.
THE YELLOW TOP OPTIMA BATTERY won't spill, leak, or corrode. THE YELLOW TOP OPTIMA BATTERY can be mounted in any position - sideways, or even upside down.
THE YELLOW TOP OPTIMA BATTERY lasts two to three times longer than conventional batteries. Optima Battery engineers have used high purity lead design provides a much longer shelf life, meaning THE YELLOW TOP OPTIMA BATTERY can sit unused for up to one year and still start your vehicle.
At DC Battery Specialists, we found that the Optima will consistently deliver 1,100 cranking amps for 25 to 30 seconds. At only 38 pounds this is comparable to batteries 4 times its size and weight. In addition, we are able to recharge this battery faster than any we have tested.
SEALED, VIBRATION RESISTANT, AND LEAK PROOF,
EVEN WHEN BROKEN
In an OPTIMA battery, the lead plates and separator are wound and tightly compressed into a cell tube so they can't move, shed, or break, even in severe shock and vibration applications. In independent SAE tests, the OPTIMA kept working after being subjected to vibrations up to 5G for 12 hours. As in all AGM TECHNOLOGY BATTERIES, there is no "free acid" that can leak out or spill and the OPTIMA can be operated effectively in any position -- even upside down -- without any risk of leaking and because it is sealed, no corrosion can form on the posts, connectors, or cables.
OPTIMA HAS A LOWER RATE OF SELF-DISCHARGE
Those who use seasonal equipment, such as farm equipment, boats, and stand-by generators, appreciate the fact that the OPTIMA will spring to life -- even after months of nonuse. Resellers like the fact that an OPTIMA battery can sit on a shelf unused for up to a year before it needs boost charging.
Available in seven configurations:

Yeah so basically, I guess this means the Yellow top is perfect for our cars that and better than a Red top
