Bad alternator?

Not sure what he meant by "ripples" but I couldn't see how my alternator could go bad and my car never needing a charge once since I've own it.

Perhaps the "ripples" in the alternator output was really ripples in the current drawn by the amp as the ground connection came and went, which could cause the system voltage to vary each time the connection wiggled.

problem came back again and found the real problem! the inputs where the power/ground/remote wires go into is broken. if you wiggle the wires the power turns off and if you put pressure on it the problem goes away. the amp is being sent back now
