I like the setup in my sig. More than enough clarity and volume capability with the top down at highway (70mph) speeds. Total package was ~$400 if you do it yourself. The power pack does help and is noticeable as well.

Get the CDA-117, a pair of Polk DB 6501s and a small amp if you want to wake the speakers up a bit.

The CDA-117 will play your CDs, USB audio or iPod/iPhone audio.

After seeing the CDA-117 I'm beginning to lean away from it for the aesthetics of it...Just too old looking for my taste...

The Sony is my front runner at the moment...Anyone have anything else they suggest that is comparable in price $250 maximum and has improved sound quality by simply adding speakers to the equation>?

Regarding the Sony DSX-S300BTX,
are you still able to use Pandora on a iPhone 4s via external usb or bluetooth?

I vote for the Kenwood KDC X995. Plays CDs, Pandora compatible , and it has built in Bluetooth and HD radio.
