Behind Seat Speaker Question
The speakers behind the seats rattle the plastic that is around them. These are not the stock speakers. Is there any kind of padding that I can put in between the speaker and the plastic they are sitting on to stop the rattle???
Has anyone else had this problem?

Do you think that the Dynamat (or the QuietCote product) would do the same for the door speakers?
I just had some new Focals put in and they seem to sound muddier than they should with all of the resonance in the doors.
I kind of assume that this is exactly what the Dynamat is for, but I was told by a local "expert" that it "wouldn't be worth it" in the S2k.

If your really powering your Focals right, you might need mat in the doors. You can also try getting speaker baffles. If you the baffles make sure you cut a few slits in it or put a hole in the bottom of it to let the speaker move freely.
I will probably start with the Dynamat since I have some on order for another project (reducing sound from the trunk area).
Which is the better to apply the Dynamat, the metal of the door, the plastic door panel or both?

Hey Romduck...can you tell me what model Focals you put in? Did you change out your headunit too? My local car stereo dealer tossed a $1900 price to put in some "$500 a pair" Focals with the special matting along with a power amp (that would fit under the passenger seat) and then a high-end headunit with the capability of adjusting its output from midrange to tweeters. Though I'm sure it would be a solid improvement over the stock system, I wasn't sure it would be $1900 better? Can you tell me where you started with your audio improvements? Thanks!
