I like it best under the cupholder because then it is centrally located within the cabin in case of a break in. Also, that makes it pretty close to centrally located as far as the total length of the car. Greta alarm.
I did have to play around with the sensitivity of the 2 zones for maybe 2 hours to get it right. It takes some time.
As far as the remote distance. I have found it to have excellent range but not 1 mile. Probably because its hard to find anywhere without some sort of obstruction. Overall I think it was a great buy for the price. I even had an air horn put on just for good measure. Nobody is taking my seats again and especially not without me knowing about it.
