Hi Y'all. Did a few searches in the forums on this topic, but came up short.

I have a Kenwood KDC-X599, Boston Acoustic amp & sub, and Polk Audio speakers in my S2K. I've gotten the top up sound pretty close to what I want, but top down is still marginal. Anyone have recommendations on how to set the (5 band) EQ for better top down sound? My musical tastes are biased towards blues, blues-rock, and classic rock, plus maybe some alt-rock heavy on the vocals.

Is that with windows up or down? That actually makes more difference than the roof in my experience.

 

Let's go with windows down.

 

In that case, you will need a boost at 1kHz for a start, and generally boost lower frequencies.

 

Lows and volume. Windows make a huge difference in sound and heating/cooling with the top down. After about 60mph it's just going to become a matter of volume with the windows down.
